From Applied Maths to Theoretical Physics

Students in applied mathematics have an excellent background in order to go on to studies in Sciences (theoretical physics etc).

Those students of Applied Mathematics who would like to receive education in Theoretical Physics (in combination with their basic mathematical education) should consider the following courses:

• General Physics I (Mechanics, Waves, Theormodynamics)
• General Physics II (Electricity, Magnetism, Geometric optics)
• Classical Mechanics (includes some classical mathematical methods in physics)
• Introduction to Modern Physics I (first steps into quantum mechanics) (Online course on Mathesis)

• Quantum Mechanics I (advances your education in quantum mechanics)
• Electromagnetism I (requires familiarity with PDEs)
